QuickSleeper 5 Anesthesia Delivery System
At some point in time, you will likely need local anesthesia for a dental procedure. Although anesthesia is essential to make you comfortable during your treatment, the traditional delivery method can be rather unpleasant and can numb one entire side of your mouth for hours after the procedure. This is where the new QuickSleeper 5 electronic anesthesia delivery system comes in!
The QuickSleeper 5 is a revolutionary device designed to numb teeth with less pain and more precision, with almost instant results. The QuickSleeper 5 doesn’t look like a typical syringe, but more like a pen. It’s an intraosseous anesthesia delivery system that injects the anesthetic into the spongy part of the bone near the apex (tip) of the tooth’s root for maximum numbing. A single injection can numb several teeth. Smaller doses of the anesthetic solution can be used and even soft tissue like the palate can be numbed without injecting it directly.
The QuickSleeper 5 has a shorter duration of anesthesia, which makes it ideal for short, non-surgical procedures such as: restorations, root canals, tooth preparations for a crown and certain dental extractions.
After the anesthesia is delivered with the QuickSleeper system, we can start your dental treatment immediately—no need to wait up to half an hour for the anesthesia to take full effect! Unlike traditional injections, you can have a cup of coffee, go to work, talk to your friends and resume other routine activities shortly after treatment without the annoyance of a numb lip and/or tongue.
