The QuickSleeper 5 doesn’t look like a typical syringe, but more like a pen. It’s an intraosseous anesthesia delivery system that injects the anesthetic into the spongy part of the bone near the apex (tip) of the tooth’s root for maximum numbing. A single injection can numb several teeth. Smaller doses of the anesthetic solution can be used and even soft tissue like the palate can be numbed without injecting it directly.
